Biography

TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Russell Lipscomb is Transwestern's senior property management executive for the firm's operations in Atlanta and the Southeast.  In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the strategic management and operations of the firm's third-party portfolio of office, industrial, and retail assets.  He is also responsible for growing the firm's property management practice in Atlanta and in other Southeastern markets. 
 
With more than 20 years of property management experience, Russell has managed all types of commercial properties, has strong administrative skills, a deep knowledge of contracts and property accounting, and excellent communication skills. 

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Prior to joining Transwestern, Russell was with Ben Carter Properties for more than 12 years where he managed Atlanta Plaza, a 625,000-square-foot, Class A office property in Buckhead; The Forum, a 213,000-square-foot, Class A office property in the Northwest/I-75 submarket, and other buildings in metro Atlanta.  He managed and prepared each property's operating and capital budgets, as well as capital improvement projects and tenant improvement projects.
 
Before that, Russell was with Carter & Associates for eight years where he managed and oversaw Colony Square, a 680,000-square-foot, two-building, Class A office property in Midtown; Eleven Hundred Peachtree Street, a 543,952-square-foot, Class A office property also in Midtown; and The Coca-Cola Company's 1.3-million-square-foot corporate headquarters.

Russell is an active member of the Atlanta Chapter of BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) and BATMA (Buckhead Area Transportation Management Association).

EDUCATION

Russell received his bachelor's from Georgia State University.
