Marty Flanigan

General Manager Marty Flanigan oversees daily operations for approximately 600,000 square feet of Class A office space in Northern Virginia. He works closely with the engineering and management teams, oversees vendor contracts and tenant and capital improvement projects. He also administers the annual budget process and completes the monthly and quarterly financial reporting.

As a Property Management Strategist for Transwestern Urban, he curates extraordinary property experiences to attract tenants through first impression and leasing tour consultations. In addition, he streamlines communication between the leasing team and property management, and reviews lease terms to mitigate gaps in the transition from leasing to occupancy for new tenants.

Marty has 17 years of experience in property management. He previously served as a senior real estate manager at CBRE, where he was part of a team overseeing management of 13 buildings totaling more than 2.1 million square feet in the Washington, D.C., metro. He’s been involved in the successful repositioning of more than 500,000 square feet of office property. His clients have included KBS Realty Advisors, Principal Financial Group, REEFF, Cabot, Asset Capital, Crany & Smith, Advanced Realty Group, Military Benefits Association, Hart Advisors, Greenstreet Real Estate Partners, Franklin Street Properties, Royal Management & Development and Avion Owners Association.

Marty holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from James Madison University. He is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Virginia and holds the following designations: LEED® Green Associate from the U.S. Green Building Council; Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from Building Owners and Managers Association; and Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.
