ATLANTA – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces Melissa Cushma has rejoined the firm as Senior Project Manager and Carlie Phillips has been promoted to Project Coordinator on the Project Services team in Atlanta.
With over a decade of experience guiding the delivery of large-scale real estate projects, Cushma will develop, implement and oversee all facets of project management for clients across the Southeast, including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout. Phillips will support project teams by refining processes and streamlining efficiencies to ensure high-quality standards and exceptional client service.
“From an experience and service mentality perspective, Melissa is an excellent cultural fit who leads with a collaborative, client-focused approach that drives productivity and results,” said Kristine Maggio, TRS Regional Operating Officer for the Eastern U.S. “We’re thrilled to welcome her back to Transwestern and congratulate Carlie on her well-deserved promotion.”
Cushma spent nine years as a Senior Project Manager at Avison Young, overseeing all office, industrial and medical construction and building improvement projects in Atlanta and throughout the Southeast. Notable assignments include an 11,000-square-foot, Class A tenant improvement project for Sonoco Products Company and a 152,000-square-foot renovation project for Vanderlande’s North American relocation. She served as Director of Project Delivery Services for Unisys, managing 5 million square feet of interior improvements. Earlier in her career, she was a Project Manager at Transwestern, earning the Employee of the Year award, and Grubb & Ellis, where she was named Team Player of the Year.
“I’m excited to be back on the Transwestern team, collaborating with hardworking people dedicated to delivering meaningful value to our clients and business partners,” said Cushma.
Phillips joined Transwestern’s Healthcare Advisory Services Group in 2021 as a Marketing Administrative Associate before being promoted to Office Coordinator.
