ATLANTA & MIAMI – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces its Southeast region had a record-breaking 2021, recording 33% growth from its highest pre-pandemic revenue year in 2019. The company attributes its success to a top-down approach to creating a strong workplace culture, hiring and retaining elevated talent, and building client relationships through a highly personalized, consultative approach.
“Since the onset of the pandemic, our regional leaders have made intentional decisions that transform the way we do business to better support our people and meet the present and future needs of our clients,” said Bruce Ford, East Region President at Transwestern. “The results have been outstanding with all of our teams hitting record production and completing significant projects for our clients.”
Notable Atlanta projects include a 103,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art basketball arena and training facility for Overtime Elite and a 200,000-square-foot innovation district for The Center for Global Health Innovation completed by the firm’s Atlanta Transaction Sciences team. Capping an incredibly active year, the region’s South Florida industrial team completed 125 sale and lease transactions totaling 11.3 million square feet and $273 million in value in 2021.
Transwestern moved its Southeast regional headquarters in March 2021 to Atlanta Financial Center as part of its strategy to enhance culture and support team members. In partnership with Cooper Carry’s Workplace Interior Design Studio, the transformative 17,000-square-foot office delivers a flexible, forward-thinking workplace designed to invite connection, encourage collaboration and foster a culture of hospitality. Transwestern’s Miami office underwent a recent renovation as well to foster greater health and safety, and collaborative team interactions.
“Transwestern believes in the power of a culture-driven office to stimulate creativity, collaboration and cross-functional engagement,” said Kristine Maggio, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Administration at Transwestern. “We have found that being together in the same place has a positive effect on relationships and well-being as much as on productivity. Not only are we seeing an increase in team member satisfaction but also in talent acquisition.”
Intentional about hiring and retaining top talent, Transwestern redesigned its recruiting strategy to reach more students, recent graduates and professionals interested in real estate careers. The company partnered with NAIOP to create the Georgia chapter’s inaugural Career Diversity Internship Program with Stockbridge to empower and elevate underserved high school students through its Real Estate Enrichment Program.
“By empowering our team members with resources and support, we will continue delivering extraordinary results for our clients,” said Ford.
