Transwesterns New Southeast Regional HQ Highlights Collaboration & Connection

June 07, 2021

Atlanta – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces its Southeast regional headquarters has opened its new 17,000-square-foot office at Atlanta Financial Center (“AFC Buckhead”), a 914,774-square-foot campus at 3333, 3343 and 3353 Peachtree Road NE in Atlanta. Transwestern relocated from Tower Place, occupying AFC Buckhead’s top two floors, the former home of City Club of Buckhead.

Transwestern developed the office in partnership with Cooper Carry’s Workplace Interior Design Studio team led by Principal Brian Parker, Senior Associate Project Manager Elizabeth Muscroft and Senior Associate Interior Designer Rebeka Flamenco.

“Like Transwestern, Cooper Carry is in the business of space. As such, Brian and his team shared our vision to deliver a workplace experience for our team members, clients, and guests that invites connection, encourages collaboration, and fosters our culture of hospitality,” said Transwestern East Region President Bruce Ford. “Embarking on this project during the pandemic allowed us to engage our people in meaningful ways to understand better how they work and how they want to work. Through this process, we took a future-forward approach, rethinking traditional office models to design a smart, resilient workplace that not only maximizes our business performance today but has built-in flexibility to adapt to future needs.”

Intentionally designed to be approachable, modern, and culture-driven, Transwestern and Cooper Carry brought to life an authentic, destination-worthy workplace environment that attracts employees by offering amenities, flexibility, and collaborative opportunities they can’t get at home. The highly functional office supports a host of behavioral-based settings for ideation, productivity, collaboration, engagement, and spontaneous connections, letting employees choose where and how they work best.

Kicking off the project, Cooper Carry held a series of visioning sessions with Transwestern team members at all levels to understand the workplace culture, gather input and identify a forward-thinking design strategy. The new office captures the overwhelming desire for openness valued by Transwestern’s team, leveraging the unique angles of the building's floorplate to create a space that encourages connection through a circular pattern, unexpected sight lines, and transparent, glass office walls.

The team repurposed the former City Club of Buckhead’s central atrium, which often served as an event space for weddings and special occasions, into the main amenity hub with various seating arrangements for work and leisure. Featuring dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows that offer mood-boosting natural light and expansive cityscape views, the atrium can host up to 50 people for company, client, and industry events.

“Transwestern’s unique understanding of the value of the office combined with our mixed-use ecosystem approach allowed us to define and shape a next-generation workplace that sets a tone of hospitality and connection to Transwestern's brand and culture,” said Parker. “As more companies move past the ‘what-if’ concepts and prepare to return to their offices, the design strategies on display at Transwestern’s Atlanta office can serve as a prototype for how employees can thrive together again in a post-pandemic environment.”

AFC Buckhead is a three-building complex in Atlanta’s financial district, with direct access to GA-400 and walkability to MARTA’s Buckhead station and neighboring restaurants and retail. Transwestern provides leasing and property management services for the Class A property on behalf of the owner, USPO Atlanta, LLC and its service provider, Sumitomo Corporation of Americas.

The prominent office complex features an outdoor park with Peachtree Road access and a recently renovated atrium with tables and soft seating. Additional amenities include AFC’s Athletic Club & Spa, Highland Bakery, Blue Chip Café and Truist Bank, along with a florist, hair salon, dry cleaner, and car detailing service.
