TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Steve currently serves as Senior Vice President, Tenant Advisory + Workplace Solutions for Transwestern. His responsibilities include leading the Manufacturing, Food & Beverage and the Intermodal Logistics specialty practice groups teams on a national basis. In addition, he is part of a national multi-market transaction management team, representing industrial occupiers across the Country.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Steve began his commercial real estate career in 1980, as an industrial real estate broker for Coldwell Banker Commercial, (CB Richard Ellis) in Oak Brook, IL.
 
After five years as a successful sales professional, Steve joined the Chicago CB Richard Ellis management team in 1985. Over the next 15 years, Steve held various managerial responsibilities including, Sales Manager of the Oak Brook office, Industrial Marketing Director of the Eastern Division, Managing Director of the Oak Brook office, Managing Director of the Chicago Industrial Group, Managing Director of the Special Properties Group, and Managing Director of the St. Louis office.
 
From 2002-2008, Steve worked for Scannell Properties, as National Director-Development. His primary responsibilities included identifying and securing multi-market build-to-suit opportunities throughout the United States. He was responsible for every aspect of the transaction from site selection up until ground breaking. Some of his clients included the GSA, Gold’s Gym, Dal-Tile Corporation, WESCO and Scott’s Lawn Care.
 
From 2008-2012, Steve worked for True North Investments, as Director of Acquisitions/Development. His primary responsibilities included identifying value-added opportunistic industrial real estate investment opportunities throughout the eastern US.
 
Steve is active in the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), CoreNet Global and the Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC). In 2004, he earned the “MCR” (Masters in Corporate Real Estate) designation from CoreNet, in 2006 he earned the “Fellows” designation from IAMC, and in 2008 he earned the “SLCR” (Senior Leadership in Corporate Real Estate) designation from CoreNet.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION / RECOGNITION

In 1988 he received the J. Frank Mahoney Award for leading the CB Richard Ellis Oak Brook office to the most profitable office in the Country for CB Richard Ellis, in 1992 he received the J. Frank Mahoney Award for business development, in 1995 he received the J. Frank Mahoney Award for his leadership role of the Special Properties Group, and in 1998 he received the Chairman’s Award for the greatest percentage operating profit increase for a profit center (St. Louis).
