He left in 1996 to co-found West, Lane & Schlager Realty Advisors where he focused solely on tenant representation in Washington, DC and the metropolitan area. During his 30-year career in commercial real estate, Rich has earned a reputation as a leading market expert, creative transaction developer, and leader in tenant representation. His specialty is the representation of many prominent law firms, corporations, trade associations, and nonprofit organizations in long-term strategic real estate planning and transactions.
Rich’s deep knowledge of structuring transactions on behalf of tenants results in his clients retaining him on a regular basis, while continuing to draw on his expertise well after the transactions are completed. As a result, he has earned a track record of retaining his clients over long periods of time and representing law firms in multiple transactions.
