John has more than 25 years of experience representing prominent national and local companies in the Washington, D.C., metro area. Prior to joining Transwestern, he specialized in tenant representation at both Colliers International and Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), focusing exclusively on government relations, not-for-profit, law firm, association and corporate tenants in all aspects of their office leasing requirements and transactions in the Washington metro area. His previous clients include Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck; American Land Title Association; The Cullen Law Firm; Baker Donelson; Barnes & Thornburg; National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies; Lufthansa German Airlines; Rio Tinto; ConAgra; The Government of Bermuda and The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia.
John is the executive director of The Lugar Center, a nonprofit organization that seeks to educate the public, global policymakers, and future leaders on critical issues such as global food security, non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, energy security and effective bipartisan governance.
He was the founder and partner of an international private equity firm focused on South America and has significant business development experience, including assignments and new ventures in the then newly independent states of the former Soviet Union, Hungary, Mexico and South Africa.
