Biography
TRANSWESTERN ROLE
Tyler is Managing Director of Development and Investment and Partner at Transwestern Hospitality Group, where he played a key role in launching the firm’s first hospitality venture. He oversees development, construction, and asset management initiatives, with notable projects including the acquisition and repositioning of Hotel Granduca in Uptown Houston and advisory on the ground-up Auberge Hotel & Residences in River Oaks. Tyler’s expertise centers on luxury repositioning strategies and high-impact food and beverage concepts that enhance the guest experience. Most recently, he led the formation of Transwestern Hospitality Management, the group’s dedicated operating platform.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Previously, Tyler spent more than six years at citizenM Hotels, where he led over $1 billion in acquisition and development activity and sourced much of the company’s North American pipeline. As an early U.S. employee, he helped define citizenM’s North American growth strategy, forged joint ventures with leading developers, and worked on financing and modular construction strategies that positioned the brand as a disruptive force in the lifestyle hotel segment. His career also includes investment roles with Denihan Hospitality and PwC, as well as early operational experience managing boutique and independent hotels.

EDUCATION
Tyler earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Dartmouth College and a Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University.
