Adjacent to North Michigan Avenue, NBC Tower's award-winning design combines strong vertical lines with a highly detailed facade. This dramatic tower rises 40 stories from a base of brown, black and green granite, with accents of polished bronze. This distinctive style carries through into the lobby where polished bronze and granite complement the textured marble walls. NBC Tower's functional design allows for a minimum of eight corner offices in the mid-rise section, and as many as twelve in the high-rise. Full floors range from 30,000 square feet to 18,000 square feet in a virtually column-free design.

An on-site fitness center and a multi-room executive conferencing facility is available to building tenants.

This building was awarded an Energy Star label in 2009,2010,2014,2015,2016, and 2017 for its operating efficiency.

In 2014, this building was awarded LEED certification at the Gold level and in 2010 was awarded Silver level certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
