Houston – Transwestern Commercial Services (TCS) today announces the Houston Office Leasing Brokers Association (HOLBA) has recognized the firm with three awards, including Executive Vice President Eric Anderson being named the Landlord Broker of the Year award. Anderson also received this honor, which is voted on by the tenant representation community in Houston, in 2007. The awards were presented at the HOLBA Awards ceremony on Feb. 13, 2020.
“I am extremely humbled to receive this award from my peers,” said Anderson. “I have an outstanding team in Tyler Garrett, Parker Burkett and Katy Gragg, and they deserve just as much credit.”
Gragg received the HOLBA Rising Star award, which recognizes exceptional representatives with five years or fewer of industry experience.
Anderson continued, “Transwestern is an incredible company that has provided me with market-leading resources that have been instrumental in my success. I am also fortunate to have preeminent, successful clients, which further contributes to each accomplishment.”
In 2019, Anderson’s team completed approximately 1.1 million square feet of lease transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $292 million. Some notable leases from the last year include Kiewit Engineering at Energy Center 1 for 171,266 square feet, LJA Engineering at Westchase Park II for 90,989 square feet, and Engie North America at Four Oaks Place for 109,670 square feet.
Transwestern also received the Deal of the Year Award for the Direct Energy lease on behalf of Brookfield Properties. In March, Direct Energy signed a lease for its corporate headquarters at 2 Houston Center, located at 909 Fannin St. Transwestern’s Doug Little, David Baker, Kelli Gault, and Jack Scharnberg collaborated with the Brookfield Properties team to negotiate the 105,578-square-foot lease.
