Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – Transwestern’s South Florida office today announces it negotiated a new, long-term lease for 10,000 square feet on behalf of United National Consumer Suppliers (UNCS), a leading global wholesale distributor that sources products worldwide for strategic consumer market placement. The lease marks UNCS’ expansion of its global headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and its relocation to the entire second floor at 1501 NE 26th St. in the Wilton Manors area.
Transwestern Managing Director Glenn Gregory and Senior Managing Director Ben Eisenberg represented the tenant in the transaction.
“UNCS’ had outgrown its current location, and it was critically important that its new space represent the company’s culture,” said Gregory. “The new space supports the needs of the growing business while creating an environment that fosters innovation and collaboration.”
For the past 15 years, UNCS has been a fixture in the Fort Lauderdale business community, where it grew from an entrepreneurial startup to a corporation ranked on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list. UNCS serves leading retail brands including Amazon.com, Target, Ross Dress for Less, Costco, Macy’s, Walgreens, and TJ Maxx. UNCS will increase its number of employees by 40 percent when it relocates.

Recent trends indicate a significantly tightening market as companies grow and take more space in Broward County. Overall office vacancy dropped from 9.48 percent in fourth quarter 2017 to 8.63 percent in first quarter 2018. As of February 2018, the local unemployment rate was 3.5 percent, a significant 100-basis point decline over the previous 12-month period.
The landlord, WM 1501 Venture LLC, was represented by Scott Helms of the ownership group.
