Transwestern Advises Tenant in New 4,850 SF Lease at The Historic Herald Building

WASHINGTON – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors® (SIOR) has signed a 4,850-square-foot lease to relocate its worldwide headquarters to The Herald, a Class A, 114,000-square-foot office building at 1307 New York Avenue in Washington, D.C. Transwestern Executive Vice Presidents Matthew Levin, SIOR and Gary Schlager, SIOR have been providing tenant advisory services to SIOR for more than 20 years., and facilitated the relocation and new lease on behalf of the global real estate association.
“The Herald offers an optimal size and location for SIOR,” said Levin. “The Class A setting and modern amenities provide an elevated office and “hospitality-like” experience for the organization’s employees and guests.”
The Herald is a historic office building developed in 1923. The property, which completed an extensive $41 million transformation in 2021, features an elegant lobby on the club level with 22-foot ceiling heights, a lounge and cafe, a fitness center and a boardroom.
