TRANSWESTERN ROLE

As a Vice President with Transwestern’s Transaction Sciences team, Thomas is responsible for the negotiation of lease and purchase transactions spanning office, industrial and healthcare property types, portfolio management/consulting for the team’s multi-market clients, complex document review, along with general new business development.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Since joining the company in 2013, Thomas has been instrumental in negotiating lease and purchase transactions in markets across the United States totaling over $400 million in gross value. Notable transactions that Thomas has completed include multiple long-term headquarters lease restructures over 100,000 SF for companies in the metro-Atlanta area, along with a 5-property, $100 million industrial portfolio sale-leaseback for a publicly-traded building products distributor.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION / RECOGNITION

Thomas has served on Transwestern’s Board of Directors, currently sits on the Transwestern Emerging Leaders Council, and co-leads national and Atlanta initiatives for the Transwestern Young Professionals (TYP) group. Additionally, he is a graduate of the 2016 MS Leadership Class, a selected group of young professionals tasked with raising awareness and funds for research and programs related to the eradication of Multiple Sclerosis.

EDUCATION

Thomas joined Transwestern’s Atlanta office after graduating from the University of Surrey in Guildford England, where he achieved high honors and received a Bachelor of Law degree. While obtaining his education, Thomas was actively involved with the University’s Annual Alumni Fund, where he gained sales and relationship-building experience in the process of soliciting international alumni for donations to the University’s scholarship and campus development programs. He also served as a Census Collector for the United Kingdom’s 2011 Census.
