TRANSWESTERN ROLE

As general manager, Neal oversees all management aspects of 801 Tower in downtown Los Angeles, a commercial high-rise office building with over 600,000 square feet. Neal has over twenty-five years of experience in commercial real estate specializing in operations, value-add project analysis, and client relations.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Before joining Transwestern, Neal was a portfolio manager at Davis Partners, responsible for property management and construction management of a 1.2M square feet portfolio in an office building in Southern California. Neal oversaw all operating and capital budgets, tenant and capital improvements and client reporting. He also managed a team of property managers, chief engineers and assistant property managers.
 
Neal previously served as a senior property manager at PM Realty Group, where he specialized in the management of medical office buildings in the Los Angeles County market. 

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION / RECOGNITION

Neal was named the Property Manager of the Year in 2021 by the Building Owners and Managers Association of Greater Los Angeles (BOMA GLA).  Since joining Transwestern, Neal was instrumental in 801 Tower winning the BOMA GLA - Office Building of the Year Award in 2019, the BOMA Pacific Southwest Regional Office Building of the Year Award in 2020, the BOMA GLA Earth Award and the BOMA GLA Pueblo Award in 2021. In 2020, Neal guided 801 Tower to the BOMA 360 Certification and BOMA Best Practices for Energy Efficiency. Neal maintains the current LEED Platinum Certification and EPA Energy Star Certification of 801 Tower. Neal guided 801 Tower to win the prestigious U.S. Department of Energy Better Buildings Challenge for Water Conservation and the USGBC Sustainability Innovation Award for Water Conservation.  Neal led 801 Tower to a FITWEL Built Certification in 2021, a FITWEL Viral Response Certification in 2021.  Neal procured the Wiredscore Certification and Green Lease Leaders Certification for 801 Tower.  Additionally, Neal is an active member of the downtown Los Angeles Downtown Center Business Improvement District (DCBID).
