Executive Vice President Kirk Boyd provides comprehensive, strategic real estate advisory services to help local firms and multi-market account clients meet business objectives, operating requirements and financial goals. As a 28-year veteran of the Washington, D.C. metro commercial real estate industry, Kirk has gained extensive experience in a broad range of commercial real estate services, including lease negotiations, acquisitions, dispositions portfolio management and build-to-suit transactions. His in-depth real estate experience, business background and relationships in the business community allow him to apply an effective, multi-disciplined approach to clients’ real estate and facility objectives.


Kirk began his career in commercial real estate in1989. Prior to joining Transwestern, he served as Executive Managing Director at Newmark Knight Frank in Tysons, Virginia. Some of his most notable accomplishments include the following:
  • Negotiated Sunrise Senior Living’s 170,000 SF headquarters lease in Tysons, Virginia
  • Negotiated e.spire Communication’s 250,000 SF Herndon and Dulles headquarters, NOC and data center
  • GTSI – Headquarters 105,000-square-foot in Herndon, VA
  • Exodus Communications 1,200,000-square-foot Data Center Campus in Dulles
Some of his most significant clients have included:  Exodus Communications, e.spire Communications, Sunrise Senior Living, Life Minders, RCN Networks, TCS/Raytheon, SGC Security, Silo Smashers,   GTT Communications Inc., ATCS, Grayhawk, Nortel Government, Kingfisher, Boeing and Ventura.
