Biography

TRANSWESTERN ROLE

John is a Partner at the firm and is involved in all aspects of mixed-use development projects in the Central Texas region, including land acquisitions, planning, design, entitlements, financing, construction, marketing, leasing, operations, and asset dispositions.
 
John also assists with strategic planning for the firm and works in tandem with the Transwestern executive committee to develop and implement company goals and growth plans for the Transwestern platform.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Recent project contributions include: The Indie - a 135 unit, 73,000-sq ft micro-unit apartment project located in East Austin; The Candela - a 120 unit, 114,000-sq ft luxury apartment project located in East Austin; West 12th Street - a 160 unit, 83,000-sq ft micro unit development located in downtown Austin; 3 Waller - a 259 unit, 130,000-sq ft micro unit development located in downtown Austin; Windsor Village - a mixed-use redevelopment located in Central East Austin featuring 405 multifamily units, approximately 14,000 SF of retail and approximately 15,000 SF of creative office space.
 
Prior to joining Transwestern, John worked on GE’s Corporate Finance Team, focusing on financial analysis, revenue forecasting, and strategic planning for GE’s Energy Management, Digital Energy, and Intelligent Platforms businesses.

John holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
