Hale Umstattd

Hale oversees the Capital Markets Group activities as well as serving as senior member of the Healthcare Advisory Services team in Central Texas. The Capital Markets Group focuses on the origination, structuring and execution of commercial investment sales and capital market transactions for institutional, corporate, and private owners of real estate throughout the region. The Healthcare Advisory team serves clients through the full spectrum of care; both health providers that utilize real estate to care for patients and the real estate providers that supply the necessary buildings. Hale also serves in various regional capacities within the Development and Tenant Advisory teams.

 

Hale has over 30 years of real estate experience in the Texas markets. Since joining Transwestern in 1990, Hale has represented local private investors as well as institutional firms such as Clarion Partners, Barings/Cornerstone, JP Morgan, KBS, LNR, Morgan Stanley, Pearlmark, Prudential, State Farm and TIAA-CREF. Within the Healthcare and Occupier Solutions ranks, Hale has represented a broad range of clients including the Ascension Hospital System, Austin Gastroenterology, Boon Chapman, Drillinginfo, Higginbotham, National Instruments, Texas Association of Business, Texas Children’s Hospital and Vivere Health. Hale also served as development project manager for several of Austin’s best-known commercial developments including Amber Oaks Corporate Center and South Park Commerce Center I and II. Hale and his teams have completed over $3 Billion in transactions.

Hale started his career in Dallas and relocated to Austin in 1984 as managing partner for Umstattd, Swinney & Hutchins, a Texas-based brokerage firm. In 1988, Hale joined SWS Realty overseeing the South Texas Region including Houston, Austin and San Antonio. Hale joined Transwestern in 1990 and has served in the leadership capacity of virtually all regional service lines

Hale earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Texas.
