TRANSWESTERN ROLE

As Executive Vice President of Tenant Advisory + Workplace Solutions, Eric specializes in tenant representation and strategic real estate consulting primarily to associations, foundations, and non-governmental organizations.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Eric entered the commercial real estate industry in 1987 as a broker for Barrueta & Associates (currently known as Transwestern). For the first five years of his career, Eric represented landlords such as the Washington Harbour and the Lion Building.  In 1996, he was a founding principal of West, Lane & Schlager Realty Advisors creating a real estate company focused solely on representing tenants, delivering dedicated, sophisticated, and passionate service to ensure that every client’s need - big or small - received the attention it deserved.
 
During his 30-year career in commercial real estate, Eric has earned a reputation as a strategic market expert, creative negotiator, and leader in nonprofit tenant representation working with over 200 nonprofit organizations. As a result of his unmatched industry experience, Eric has created a unique process and decision-making tools to provide his clients with the best insights available to uncover the best possible outcomes.  Eric has represented some of the most respected organizations including US Chamber of Commerce, Save the Children International, The Pew Research Center, National Council on the Aging, The American Iron & Steel Institute, Managed Funds Association, Consumer Healthcare Products Association, U.S. Travel Association and the National Parks Conservation Association.
