Douglas Dawson

Doug serves as Senior Vice President in the firms Houston development group, where he is responsible for construction of healthcare, commercial office, multi-family, and industrial projects. He provides full-service construction management services for build-to-suit clients and oversees design and construction of our principal projects.

Recent responsibilities include a new build-to-suit office building and garage totaling 450,000sf at Transwesterns mixed use development in Houston, The RO; a 334-unit luxury multifamily project in Phoenix, AZ; a 218-unit luxury urban loft in downtown West Palm Beach, FL; a 288-unit multifamily project in Tampa, FL, and Bayport Distribution Center, a 450,000sf industrial warehouse near the Port of Houston. Dating back to 2014, Doug also managed several other Transwestern multifamily and office developments in Austin and Houston.
 

Prior to joining Transwestern, Doug had a 17-year career managing and estimating commercial projects for W.S. Bellows Construction and Linbeck Group. He managed over $600 million of projects across a broad range of product types including healthcare, office, educational, non-profit, and religious facilities - his healthcare experience includes work with the following clients: Texas Childrens Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston Methodist Hospital, and the University of Texas Medical Branch. At Linbeck, Doug was also responsible for business development as well as managing and improving internal processes.

Doug received a bachelors degree in Construction Management from Texas A&M University.
