TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Doug Prickett directs the investment analytics and strategy for the Transwestern companies, which together comprise a diversified real estate operating, investment management and development organization. The privately held, fully integrated enterprise leverages competencies in office, industrial, retail, multifamily and healthcare to add value for investors, owners and occupiers of real estate.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Doug has been active in the commercial real estate business since 1983 and joined Transwestern in 2020, leading the research efforts, developing advanced analytics and using cutting-edge technologies to guide and support real estate investment strategy, market and asset selection, underwriting, portfolio management, and workplace solutions for Transwestern and its clients.
 
Doug’s career has been focused on investment research, analytics, valuation, acquisition, underwriting and development of commercial real estate. Prior to joining Transwestern, Doug most recently co-founded Strongside Financial Group, a diversified platform aligning capital with Qualified Opportunity Zone businesses and property for tax-advantaged investing. Prior to SFG, Doug spent 5 years with Lionstone Investments heading their investment strategy and research. Prior to Lionstone, he spent 15 years with the Goldman Sachs RMD, formerly known as Archon Group, where he served in several capacities including global head of investment real estate research, head of valuations and division lead for the Data Resources Group.

EDUCATION

Doug earned his BBA in Real Estate and Finance from the University of North Texas. He and has earned designations from the Counselors of Real Estate, the CCIM Institute and the Appraisal Institute, as well as a named Homer Hoyt Fellow.
