TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Bernie specializes in office leasing, representing both landlords and tenants with a focus in Northern Virginia.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Bernie joined Transwestern in September 2008.  His primary responsibilities are canvassing major tenants to develop new leads and solidifying relationships with asset managers and developers to strengthen his agency practice. Other responsibilities include the development and execution of marketing strategies for clients and the analysis of vertical profiles of properties within the Northern Virginia and DC markets.
 
Bernie’s landlord advisory clients have included some of the biggest names in DC area real estate: Brookfield Properties, Carr Properties, Penzance, the JBG Companies, LaSalle Investment Management, Washington Property Company, Guardian Realty, CityLine Partners, TIAA-CREF, the Illinois State Teachers Retirement System, and Ohio State Teachers Retirement System, Somera Road, Access Properties, the Navy League Building, LLC, Simon Properties Group, AIG, and Guggenheim Partners, LLC.
 
His tenant clients span a variety of industries comprised of Government Contractors, Law Firms, Financial Institutions, Non-Profits, Staffing Firms, Engineering and Construction Companies to include Contrack Watts, Synexxus, Strategic Fixed Income, Halcon Corp., Comm-Works Fortran LLC, Harrity & Harrity LLP, ShounBach, M&T Bank, Randstad Professional, Jordan & Skala Engineers, Comtech LLC, Hall Sickels Frei and Mims, PC, and Leach Travell and Britt, PC.
