TRANSWESTERN ROLE
Andrea ’Andi’ Lopez serves as senior vice president of management services with Transwestern. A South Florida real estate veteran with 15 years of senior leadership experience, Andi is responsible for all of Transwestern’s property management, engineering, operations, construction, budgeting and accounting/reporting services in Florida.
Andi also acts as the asset manager and investment advisor for a number of properties, leveraging her extensive background in due diligence, valuation, leasing, financing, and investment underwriting to help maximize the value of commercial buildings. In addition, her track record includes the oversight of multi-million dollar building renovation and repositioning programs. Andi is considered one of the leading experts in sustainability and energy management in Florida, helping a number of properties achieve ENERGY STAR and LEED’ certifications.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
During her tenure with Transwestern, Andi has helped grow the firm’s South Florida management portfolio by more than 9.0 million square feet and played an integral role in the significant growth of Transwestern’s local leasing portfolio as well. Her clients include both institutional owners such as KBS Realty Advisors, Prudential, RREEF, Colonial Properties Trust, USAA, CABOT, AEW, Bristol, Alecta Real Estate Investment, Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers , and ING Clarion. She also understands the different investment and management needs of foreign and entrepreneurial owners, and counts among her clients GenCap Partners, Fortune International, and TIC, LLC.
Andi’s significant accomplishments include achieving LEED certification for the historic five-building Douglas Entrance complex in Coral Gables, the first Silver designation in Florida for an existing building, and receiving LEED Gold status for 110 Tower in downtown Fort Lauderdale. In addition, she successfully guided both of these large office properties through extensive renovations featuring comprehensive common area finish enhancements and building system upgrades. Other key projects include the office condo conversion of 1200 Brickell and the million-dollar restoration program for Colonial Bank Centre after the building suffered significant damage from Hurricane Wilma. Before joining Transwestern, Andi was with Colonnade Properties for more than ten years, where she played a key role in that company’s growth in South Florida.
EDUCATION
Andi is a licensed Florida real estate broker. She also has completed numerous property management and real estate courses, and is currently seeking her RPA designation through Building Owners & Managers Institute (BOMI). Andi is also an active member of BOMA, CREW and the USGBC.
