TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Stephen is a Senior Vice President and General Manager at Michigan Plaza, a 2 million-square-foot, two-building complex located at 205 - 225 N. Michigan Ave. As General Manager, he is responsible for overall building management and operations, including assisting with capital projects, tenant construction, accounting issues, service contract negotiations and building/tenant issues. He also acts as a liaison between building owners and Transwestern and helps on-site property staff understand and achieve ownership objectives.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Steve has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate operations and management. He has overseen several significant Chicago properties throughout his career, including 525 W. Monroe, 200 W. Madison, 200 N. LaSalle, 360 N. Michigan and 1 N. Dearborn, among others. During his tenure at Michigan Plaza, Steve has orchestrated over $30 million in renovations, which included lobby improvements, elevator modernization, two fitness centers, a tenant lounge, an exterior one-acre plaza, corridors and restrooms, and a complete security upgrade as well as an exterior renovation featuring a dramatic “red wave” canopy at the entry of the building.

EDUCATION

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Marquette University and a Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI).
