AUSTIN – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces that House of Gainz has signed a new 41,000-square-foot lease at a retail facility at 235 Canyon Ridge Drive in the Northeast submarket. Transwestern Managing Director Bryan McMurrey represented the landlord, BAFCO III, in the transaction.
Upon its opening in November 2023, the Class A location will offer boxing, HIIT and boot camp classes, a wide range of fitness equipment and weights, posing room, a cold plunge, a sauna and a wellness center. This will be the second location for House of Gainz in the Greater Austin area. The fitness facility was established in 2016 in Georgetown, Texas.
“Finding vacant or available big-box spaces in Austin, especially in the Tech Ridge trade area, is extremely challenging," said McMurrey. "We received significant interest in this location and are pleased with the outcome. Considering the space is a second-generation Golds Gym, this will be plug and play for House of Gainz."
This is the largest lease in the submarket year to date. According to Transwestern research, Northeast Austin has seen 31,671 square feet of total retail leasing activity through the second quarter of 2023.
Kristiana Beck with Realty Austin, who represented the tenant in the transaction, says, "House of Gainz is excited to secure this location, as it will be the anchor for their Central Texas expansion. They plan on opening additional locations over the next three years."
House of Gainz is currently offering discounted membership rates online and in-person at its Georgetown location. The gym can be found on Instagram at @houseofgainztech.
