Katie Bongard

Katie Bongard serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager of 60 South Sixth, a premier 700,000-square-foot Class A office tower located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis and owned by KBS Realty Advisors. She leads an award-winning management team at 60 South Sixth and has been with the building since 2017. Katie manages a core team of seven TW employees and oversees over 40 building employees that run day-to-day operations. Whether supervising or actively participating, Katie engages with all of the building’s capital projects, accounting issues, tenant construction, service contract negotiations and tenant issues. She is actively engaged with the Agency leasing team and helps with lease reviews and showings as needed. She is also a group manager in Transwestern’s Midwest Asset Services division, working with four other general managers as well as 21 additional team members at other properties.

Katie joined Transwestern in 2018 and has been active in commercial real estate since 2002. Her expertise includes Class A office buildings, industrial and mixed-use assets. Katie is dedicated to customer service and leads by example, ensuring that 60 South Sixth's ownership and tenants receive the highest level of attention. Katie and her team’s hard work and dedication to 60 South Sixth earned them the KBS Property Management Team of the Year Award in 2024.

Katie also serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the Minneapolis Downtown Council and is the Budget and Operations chair for the Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District. She is heavily involved with BOMA Minneapolis, having previously served on the Board of Directors and now serving as a committee member on the Awards and Recognition and Education Committees. In 2024, Katie became a BOMA TOBY judge at the international and regional levels and has been a TOBY local judge since 2018.

Katie received a bachelor’s degree in finance, insurance and real estate from St. Cloud State University.
