TRANSWESTERN ROLE

John Blackshire specializes in the sale of apartment buildings and communities in Colorado. He works as part of the Denver multifamily team with Tom Wanberg and their marketing associate, Danielle Badura. While his primary role with the team is business development, he is involved in all aspects of serving clients including portfolio optimization, financial analysis, valuation underwriting, pricing of assets, market statistics, forecasting, and contract negotiations, culminating in his primary goal of complete client satisfaction.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

John has been involved in over 300 hundred real estate transactions worth several hundred million dollars during his career. Tom Wanberg and John are consistently the top producers in the Colorado office. John was presented the Young Gun award for being a rising star within Transwestern early in his career with the company. He currently leads the Transwestern Young Professionals for Colorado.
 
John has over fifteen years of sales and sales management experience. He began his career in the Telecom industry, where he was the top in the nation producer for his company. Prior to joining Transwestern, he served in sales positions in the real estate and banking industry with Vail Resorts and Wells Fargo where he excelled as well.

EDUCATION

John earned his Bachelor of Arts in business administration with a major in Finance from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Colorado. John is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and is currently involved with the bi-annual Impact Awards. He founded and leads the Colorado Stand Up Paddleboard Club and also gives his time to several non-profits related to sports, affordable housing, and sustainable growth.
