Jay helps organizations achieve their real estate objectives through understanding, attention to detail, energy, and perseverance. His focus on creating value through analytical strategies, research, and a consultant’s approach to problem-solving has resulted in long-term business relationships with numerous companies. Finding ways to reduce occupancy costs is one reason many firms seek advice from Jay. Whether strategically working with a client to determine if leasing or owning is right for them or engaging in lease negotiations for a company’s new HQ project, Jay builds solutions that fit clients’ specific needs.

Some of Jay’s clients have included US Bancorp, Credit Agricole Deutsche Bank, PPM America, Commonwealth Edison, Jones Day, Encyclopedia Britannica, Children’s Memorial Hospital, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, University of Chicago Hospitals (IVF, sleep, cardiology, data centers, call centers, ambulatory, linear accelerator, physical therapy, orthopedic), Northwestern University, and the University of Chicago Medical Center. In addition, Jay has provided leadership in the purchase and sale of commercial property for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Commonwealth Edison, Cook County, FMC Corporation, Old Republic Insurance, and Sterling Bay.

Jay earned his Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College and his Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Chicago.
