TRANSWESTERN ROLE

As a Senior Vice President of Retail Brokerage + Investment Sales at Transwestern, Tom assess the needs and objectives of real estate owners, investors and retailers, securing solutions to maximize their real estate goals. He is active in Landlord and Tenant representation, Investment Sales, as well as Land assembly and disposition. Tom's primary region of influence is the Twin Cities metro market, with expertise in outstate Minnesota and the surrounding upper Midwestern states.
 
Following a four-year stint in Department Store operation and sales management, Tom began his work in the real estate industry in 1987. Throughout his 37+ year tenure in real estate, he’s led project teams through all aspects of the retail brokerage, asset management and property development process. This includes implementing effective marketing materials and processes, site selection and acquisition, constraint analysis and due diligence, securing municipal use approvals and documentation, design and construction coordination, financial analysis and valuation, project budgeting, and lease or sale negotiation and contract administration. Notably, over the last six years Tom’s been instrumental in leading the brokerage initiative for the Hy-Vee grocery store expansion into the Minneapolis-St. Paul market, to include the opening of twelve stores with multiple additional sites entitled and acquired, and additional sites to follow.
 
Diplomacy, attention to detail and a diverse skill set are key qualities that have fostered Tom’s success and enabled him to build lasting relationships with some of the biggest names in the commercial real estate industry. Additionally, he established a reputation of solid integrity, and strives to create solutions that generate the greatest success for all stakeholders.
