TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Tim is responsible for managing the Client Accounting SOC1 program for Transwestern. This process ensures that Transwestern has effective controls and processes in place for Client Accounting and Property Management, which allows the firm to provide accurate and timely financial statement to its clients.
 
As part of this process, Tim will support the entire SOC1 process, including:
 
  • Performing periodic control and risk assessments
  • Conducting interim testing of financial controls and processes
  • Collaborating with Transwestern’s external auditor and facilitating the annual attestation cycle
  • Working with Corporate Compliance, Client Accounting, Property Management and IT teams to align all stakeholders
  • Assisting in the development and periodic update of the Client Accounting policies & procedures manual

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Tim is an accomplished leader in audit and internal controls with over 20 years of experience. This includes nine years of experience leading SOC1 programs in the commercial real estate space, including property management, facilities management, lease administration and multifamily. Previously, Tim spent 12 years in chemical manufacturing where he gained significant experience with internal auditing and Sarbanes-Oxley. This included operational audits, financial audits, IT general controls and Sarbanes-Oxley assessments.
