TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Senior Vice President Brad Braun leads Transwestern’s office practice for Asset Services in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Suburban Maryland. He oversees a diverse staff of team members who deliver exceptional service to the client and tenants for over 5 million-square-foot office. He maintains an outstanding relationship and open communication with tenants and clients, prepares annual operating budgets and financial reports, manages day-to-day operations, oversees construction projects, and assists with lease negotiations.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Brad joined Transwestern in 1999 and has over 20 years of experience managing a broad range of commercial real estate assets. He is proficient in financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, construction management, and lease analysis. He has been involved in the successful repositioning and the disposition of commercial real estate assets. He has worked with a variety of clients including DWS, AEW Capital Management, Blackrock, Stockbridge and private investors.
 
He coordinated the process to make 1800 K Street in Washington, D.C., the first property in the world to be certified LEED® Silver under the new, more stringent LEED v4 Operations and Maintenance: Existing Buildings rating system. He also coordinated efforts to obtain the LEED Operations and Maintenance: Existing Buildings v2009 Gold certification for two office buildings in the District.

EDUCATION

Brad earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Maryland, College Park. He holds the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation and is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and LEED® Green Associate. He is also a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Washington, D.C., and Virginia.
