TRANSWESTERN ROLE

As Chief Operating Officer, Mark provides leadership and support for the national operations and major growth initiatives of the Transwestern family of companies. In addition, Mark works closely with other members of senior management in the development and execution of company strategy. He serves on Transwestern’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Mark began his real estate career in 1984 and has industry experience with public and private real estate companies in the areas of real estate operations, finance and investment. Prior to joining Transwestern in 1999, Mark was chief financial officer of Prentiss Properties Trust, a national office and industrial public real estate investment trust. He participated in the firm’s IPO in October 1996, was responsible for financial strategy as well as capital planning and execution, and coordinated the company's investment activities.
 
In addition, Mark previously served as senior vice president of finance for Lincoln Property Company. His responsibilities included financing the company's development and acquisition activities in the northwestern United States. Mark also held various positions with KPMG Peat Marwick in Dallas where his clients included national and international natural resources and financial services companies.

Mark earned both his B.B.A. in accounting and his M.B.A. from Baylor University.
