Biography
TRANSWESTERN ROLE
Krystal is the general manager of 181 West Madison. In this role, she serves as an expert leader for the buildings management team, assisting with capital projects, tenant construction, accounting issues, service contract negotiations, and building/tenant issues. Krystal also acts as a liaison between building owners and Transwestern Chicago and helps on-site property staff understand and achieve ownership objectives.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
In 2017, Krystal received the BOMA/Chicago Property Manager of the Year award. Her work with the building also resulted in over $450,000 of ComEd incentive money for energy-reducing projects. And thanks to Krystals power-saving initiatives, the building has maintained a LEED Gold certification since 2014. Krystal led a $5.8-million elevator modernization project. She also oversaw a complete full-floor tenant lounge renovation. Over 1.5 million square feet of leasing has closed at 181 West Madison under Krystals management. Before she was the GM of 181 West Madison, Krystal was the property and construction manager at 230 West Monroe Street, a 623,524-square-foot office building in the West Loop. At 230 West Monroe, Krystal spearheaded a major lobby renovation and retail/glass expansion project that increased building revenue by $3.7 million over a 10-year period.

EDUCATION
Krystal earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Iowa and a Master of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University.
