TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Jim Cardellicchio had been originating and executing investment sales with Transwestern since 2001. Focused on the office and industrial sales markets throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Jim’s attention to detail for institutional, corporate and private owners of real estate has yielded over $18 billion in transactions. He is also responsible for the team’s financial modeling, the implementation of each project’s strategic marketing campaign, creating offering memoranda and proposals as well as a project’s due diligence process. Based in Washington, D.C., he is an integral part of the Mid-Atlantic Capital Markets Group having earned Transwestern’s Capital Markets Deal of the Year four times.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Jim has over 30 years of commercial real estate experience that includes financial analysis, property management, and syndication. Prior to joining Transwestern, Jim was with Trizec Office Properties (later to become part of Brookfield) in Washington, D.C., where he managed the financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting of approximately three million square feet of office product throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
 
Jim also performed third-party fee analysis for many of the Wall Street investment banks such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank, performing underwriting for their CMBS lending programs.
 
Jim began his career with Berkshire Realty Company, a then public REIT, where he managed approximately 800,000 square feet of retail space throughout the southeast. Prior to his property management duties Jim worked within the company’s syndication department marketing investment vehicles to Wall Street’s broker/dealer community.

EDUCATION

Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Merrimack College and has attended Johns Hopkins University’s Masters in Real Estate program. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Maryland, Commonwealth of Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
