Biography

TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Don is the regional COO and facilitates the development of business and financial strategies in the Mid-Atlantic region. He teams with Transwestern's business leaders to identify growth opportunities and develops plans to move new ideas from concept to action. His operational management responsibilities are concentrated on the efficient delivery of internal resources. Don also provides strategic planning services for tenant leasing clients to assist them in leveraging their use of real estate to complement their business goals and objectives. 

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Don has more than 30 years of experience in strategic planning, as director of operations and director of finance of real estate services companies. Prior to joining the firm, Don was a principal in a strategic planning consulting firm. He also served as the executive vice president and chief operating and financial officer for one of the largest residential and commercial real estate services firms in the Washington, D.C., metro area, where he chaired the firm's Executive Committee.
 
Don is a trained meeting facilitator who uses the Compression Planning method of meeting facilitation to help groups of people bring energy and new ideas to business problem-solving situations. These planning methods have been used within Transwestern to build business plans and develop strategies for winning and executing new business.
 
Don is a member of the Transwestern Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Board.

EDUCATION

Don received his degree in finance from Strayer University in Washington, D.C.  He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is a licensed Real Estate Broker.
