TRANSWESTERN ROLE

As Managing Director of Transwestern Investment Group’s (TIG) asset management team, Clarke Crenshaw is responsible for asset management, lease and property performance analysis, risk oversight and mitigation at the individual asset level for the firm’s investment clients. The team is actively working with domestic and international investors in implementing core, value-add and opportunistic investment strategies.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Clarke has over ten years of real estate experience in finance, development and analysis and has directly managed over $1.5 billion of real estate. Prior to joining Transwestern, he spent four years in finance, acquisitions and construction with Frye Properties, a multi-family real estate developer in Norfolk, Virginia, where he oversaw the $250 million renovation and redevelopment the firm’s multifamily portfolio.  While interning with Walker & Dunlap, he assisted with the transition of an $80 million equity fund and analyzed the returns on the fund’s assets. Clarke is also experienced in analyzing the performance of debt, equity and mezzanine funds and has recommended potential exit strategies for office and multifamily assets in aging debt and equity funds.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION / RECOGNITION

Clarke was elected vice president of technology for the Real Estate Club of the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business Administration. He also placed third overall in the National Real Estate Challenge at the University of Texas

EDUCATION

Clarke received a bachelor’s in economics with honors from the University of Virginia, where he also received his MBA from the school’s Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.
