Nihar K. Shah serves as a Vice President of Development in Washington DC. He is responsible for the financial health and execution of development projects, sourcing new deals, and structuring capital.


Prior to joining the Perseus TDC team, Nihar led the development, management of sales and leasing operations, and the dispositions of more than 2.5M square feet of real estate across mixed-use, hospitality, multi-family, condominium, and townhome product types totaling $1B on 12 different projects in the Greater Washington DC area. Nihar started his foray into the industry working in project management for general contractors, where he managed the construction of data centers, government facilities, and mixed-use apartment communities.


Nihar is a co-chair for ULI Washington’s Housing Initiative Council, and is an active member of DCBIA’s Housing Committee & the Public Policy Committee.
He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and separated as a Captain after serving in Operation Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.


Nihar holds an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Boston University.
