Former Real Estate Attorney Brings Fresh Perspective to Enhance Brokerage Service

San Francisco – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces that Gabe Chao has joined its San Francisco Occupier Solutions team as Senior Vice President. Chao brings nearly 13 years of experience as a real estate attorney before moving to brokerage in 2014. During his career, he advised numerous real estate investment trusts (REITs), life insurance companies and real estate funds, as well as some of the largest companies in the world on their real estate strategies.

Transwestern’s approach to tenant advisory corresponds with Chao’s holistic brokerage style in which he serves as a real estate advisor through a transaction and beyond to help clients save time and money, as well as adding value by guiding clients through periods of economic uncertainty. He was with Newmark Knight Frank for the past six years, where he represented Parnassus Investments, CAI International and Zenefits with their respective San Francisco headquarters. He also advised Dohmen Life Science Services (recently acquired by Eversana) with four locations nationally, as well as leading transactions in India, Canada and Scotland.
Led by Senior Managing Director Jeffrey W. Moeller, Transwestern’s Bay Area office has expanded rapidly during the last two years, having added 11 key real estate advisors during that time. The growing Occupier Solutions team focuses on workplace strategies for life sciences and technology companies, complementing the robust capabilities the firm offers in all other service lines.
