HOUSTON – Transwestern today announces the Houston Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®) has named the firm No. 1 on its annual list of top real estate companies based on the number of Certified Property Manager® (CPM®) credentialed members they employ locally. Transwestern, an Accredited Management Organization®, earned the top spot with 20 credentialed members.

“A professional designation represents not only the breadth of knowledge needed to earn that credential but is also a visible representation of the commitment and diligence it takes to achieve that goal,” said IREM Houston President Janet Shipley, CPM. “The credentials provided by the Institute of Real Estate Management are among the most recognized designations globally. The Certified Property Manager designation signifies a level of ethics, acumen and proficiency unparalleled in the property management industry. By employing managers that hold the internationally acclaimed CPM credential, owners and asset managers enhance the protection and assurance that their properties are managed at the highest level of competency and quality service.”

To obtain the CPM designation, one must meet stringent IREM requirements in the areas of professional education, examination and experience. They also must pledge to abide by a rigorous Code of Professional Ethics that is strictly enforced by the organization.

“We are honored to be named as the leader of IREM’S annual CPM list,” said Steve Ash, Managing Senior Vice President at Transwestern. “We encourage our team members to become credentialed property managers, and IREM offers an excellent program and training that equips them to provide best-in-class service to our clients. The recognition our team members receive from this designation sets them apart and promotes a culture of striving for excellence that resonates throughout Transwestern.”

Transwestern’s innovative approach to property management reflects the firm’s unique culture while producing measurable results for clients. The four key goals include consistently creating positive experiences, connecting the dots between internal and external service, rupturing industry stereotypes, and building passion about purpose.
