Washington – Transwestern today announces its Mid-Atlantic region was named among the Washington metro’s 2018 “Best Places to Work” by Washington Business Journal. The award comes on the heels of Transwestern earning national recognition as a Best Workplace for Millennials, a Best Workplace for Women, and a Best Workplace for Diversity by Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine.

“We are honored to be recognized as one of Washington Business Journal’s 2018 Best Places to Work, an award that, at its core, is a reflection of our outstanding team members, who exemplify the purpose we strive to achieve every day – empowering good people to do extraordinary things together,” said Phil McCarthy, Transwestern Executive Managing Director and Mid-Atlantic Market Leader. “At Transwestern, our people and our culture set us apart from the competition and enable us to deliver a higher level of service to our clients.”

Some incentives Transwestern provides its team members include full health care and benefits packages; vacation time plus two personal paid days off; eight hours of paid time off for community service; a young professionals’ group that offers monthly professional development, social and service-oriented events; paid training and skills development; certifications and memberships; wellness and philanthropy initiatives; holiday parties; and social events including Bring Your Kids to Work Day, pumpkin decorating at Halloween, in-office happy hours and an annual, off-site social gathering for all Mid-Atlantic team members.

Transwestern will be recognized at Washington Business Journal’s Best Places to Work awards ceremony May 17 in Washington, D.C.
