Atlanta Office Raises Nearly $5,000 for Make-A-Wish® Through Virtual Auction

March 18, 2021

Atlanta – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces that through fundraising efforts for Make-A-Wish®, its Atlanta team has fulfilled a wish for Jobryan, a 15-year-old who battled cancer. Spearheaded by Transwestern Executive Vice President Kristine Maggio, the Atlanta office used its impending headquarters relocation as a catalyst to raise money by auctioning furniture, electronics and décor to team members. The online event raised nearly $5,000 to purchase a new laptop and gaming accessories for Jobryan.

“Fulfilling wishes through our partnership with Make-A-Wish Georgia is our favorite event of the year,” said Maggio. “We’re so happy to provide Jobryan with a new setup that allows him to take part in his favorite daily activity, and equally thrilled that by rallying behind this effort, our team members took home a piece of Transwestern history through our internal auction.”

Transwestern selected Make-A-Wish as its Southeast philanthropy partner in 2013. This partnership became a national initiative for Transwestern in 2018. Since then, the company has raised more than $550,000 for the nonprofit through various internal and external fundraising activities. In 2017, Transwestern East Region President Bruce Ford was appointed to the nonprofit’s board of directors, and he was elected its chairman in 2020.

“I’m proud of our company and our team members for continuing to support this important cause in such a big way,” said Ford. “It’s a gift to see the joy Make-A-Wish brings to the lives of children.”
