Milwaukee – Transwestern Commercial Services (TCS) today announces it brokered the sale of downtown Milwaukee’s most iconic retail real estate, The Watts Building at 751 – 765 N. Jefferson St. The property was purchased for $1.5 million by Continuum Architects, which plans to move its headquarters to the second floor and rejuvenate the property.
The first floor currently occupied by Kessler’s Diamonds and DeLind Fine Arts Appraisals will remain retail space. TCS Executive Vice President Daniel Walsh provided investment services on behalf of Continuum. He has also been retained to lease the 5,000 square feet of available first-floor retail space.
The Watts Building is the former home to Milwaukee luxury gift retailer George Watts & Son Inc., established in 1870, which operated its showroom and James Beard Award winning Tea Shop in the property for nearly 100 years.
