National Team Supports Data-Driven Real Estate Decision Making

March 23, 2022

WASHINGTON – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces it has expanded its Consulting Services capabilities with the addition of Ian Deihle as Financial Analyst. Based in Washington, D.C., Deihle will leverage his expertise in financial modeling, scenario development and lease accounting treatment to support data-driven real estate solutions for the firm’s clients.

“Talent acquisition and retention are among the greatest challenges organizations are facing today,” said Chase Bourdelaise, Managing Director, Consulting Services at Transwestern. “Embedding labor, location and workplace strategies into the real estate decision making process can alleviate those pain points. Having Ian on our team expands our capabilities, equipping us to examine more closely the financial implications of owners’ and occupiers’ real estate decisions.”

In 2021, Transwestern’s Consulting Services team engaged in 21 consulting projects and completed 56 transactions across 36 markets, totaling 1.4 million square feet and $319 million in value. The group has spoken broadly on micro-location strategies to support workforce retention, and how workstyles can inform office space needs.

Prior to joining Transwestern, Deihle was a Financial Services Consultant with Ernst & Young, where he advised large financial institutions, including Wells Fargo and Morgan Stanley. He holds a bachelor’s in finance from Wake Forest University.
