WASHINGTON – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces Connor McCarthy has joined the firm as Director of Retail Services. Charged with leading and growing Transwestern’s leasing presence in the Mid-Atlantic region, McCarthy will expand the firm’s retail services capabilities through strategic partnerships with owners, tenants and the brokerage community.
“Connor has an extensive background in retail leasing and is deeply embedded in the region’s retail market,” said Keith Foery, Transwestern’s Mid-Atlantic Executive Managing Co-Director. “His experience working with a range of owners, tenants and asset classes combined with his entrepreneurial spirit will help power Transwestern’s retail leasing capabilities across the Mid-Atlantic and deliver a greater level of service to our clients and business partners.”
McCarthy joins Transwestern from Miller Walker Retail Real Estate where he was instrumental in leasing more than 1 million square feet of retail and restaurant space with an aggregate value of more than $85 million. He has worked with real estate owners, such as Nuveen, Roseland, Columbia Property Trust and Beacon, and tenants like Tropical Smoothie Café, Barre 3, Pret a Manger and Duke’s Grocery, among other national and local brands.

A fourth-generation Washingtonian, McCarthy was born and raised in the D.C. area. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Lehigh University and was a member of the lacrosse team.
