Prior Three-Year Collaboration Raised Over $450,000 for the Nonprofit

February 26, 2025

HOUSTON – Transwestern, an integrated commercial real estate platform that spans brokerage and asset services, development, investment management and hospitality, has renewed its national philanthropic partnership with Make-A-Wish® for 2025, reaffirming its commitment to transforming the lives of children battling critical illnesses.

“Transwestern’s long-standing partnership with Make-A-Wish underscores the importance of giving back and demonstrates the extraordinary impact we can make when we act together to pursue a collective goal,” said Larry P. Heard, CEO of Transwestern. “We are honored to champion Make-A-Wish’s mission and look forward to making a meaningful difference in the lives of even more children and their families.”

As part of this partnership, Transwestern supports Make-A-Wish through national and local events and campaigns. Funds raised from local initiatives are directed to the market’s Make-A-Wish chapter, directly impacting the communities where we live and work. Additionally, the firm has incorporated Make-A-Wish’s Employee Giving program, enabling team members to donate an ongoing or one-time gift through payroll deduction.

Between 2022 and 2024, Transwestern raised more than $450,000 for Make-A-Wish, granting over 50 wishes nationwide. The firm hosts a variety of creative fundraising activities, including a national March Madness tournament, onsite events at Transwestern-managed properties, and local initiatives, such as chili cookoffs, silent auctions, and golf tournaments. The company also established “Blue Friday,” a signature program paying tribute to Transwestern’s blue logo that allows team members to enjoy a Friday afternoon off in exchange for a financial donation.
