Transwestern Represents Building Ownership in Long-Term Renewal

April 23, 2021

Dallas – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces EMJ Construction, a privately held construction company, has renewed its lease for 21,653 square feet at MacArthur Plaza located at 5525 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Las Colinas. Transwestern’s Matt Hurlbut and Nathan Durham represented building ownership, Brookwood Financial Partners, LLC. Stream represented the tenant.

“We are honored EMJ has chosen to remain in MacArthur Plaza,” Hurlbut said. “They have been a great tenant for 16 years and we look forward to serving them in the future as the company grows.”

Founded in 1968, EMJ Construction and its family of companies have delivered billions of dollars in construction projects across the U.S., and the company has grown alongside dramatic changes in the business landscape since its founding. The firm has been in the Dallas-Fort Worth market since 1990. In March 2021, EMJ announced the opening of two new satellite offices in El Paso, Texas, and Charlotte, North Carolina.

“We are very pleased to renew our lease at Macarthur Plaza,” said William Mosher, Executive Vice President, EMJ Construction. “As important, we’re excited about extending our presence in the southwest region as we work to deliver exceptional experiences to our clients.”

With monument signage available, MacArthur Plaza offers tenants proximity to DFW International Airport as well as easy access to LBJ and John Carpenter freeways. According to Transwestern’s Q1 2020 Market Report, Dallas continues to lead the nation in returning to the office at nearly 40% average occupancy, per Kastle Systems.
