HOUSTON – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces that Nevada Career Education, Inc. is opening its first Houston location with a 53,000-square-foot lease at Southwest Corporate Center, a 525,580-square-foot campus located at 9700 Bissonnet. Transwestern Executive Vice President Michelle Wogan and Vice President Paula Musa represented the landlord, Omninet SWCC, LP, in deal negotiations.
Houston Career Institute, a technical trade school offering a variety of courses ranging from healthcare certifications to electrician trainings, will occupy the former space of Alterius Career College with plans to elevate and expand the programs offered. Nevada Career Education also has facilities in San Antonio and California.
“We are excited for a new technical school to enter the Houston market,” said Wogan. “Houston Career Institute was able to find all the amenities they were looking for at Southwest Corporate Center and in a space that works very well for them.”
Southwest Corporate Center is conveniently located near the Beltway 8/I-69 interchange, making Houston Career Institute accessible to students in numerous submarkets in the surrounding area.
The technology/office property sits on 39 acres of land, allowing for the above standard parking ratio of 5.5 per 1,000 square feet, a key amenity the tenant requires to accommodate its students. The building also boasts an expansive tenant lounge with an on-site deli and sundry shop, conference room, fitness center, tenant autonomy with separate HVAC controls, private restrooms within most suites, an outdoor patio/courtyard, and 24/7 security on-site.
