March 11, 2021

New York City – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces that Casey Noel has joined as Vice President in the firm’s New York office. As a member of the Nonprofit Advisory Services team, Noel will provide a full range of tenant advisory and agency services to the city’s nonprofit community, with a particular focus on the government sector.

“Casey has a unique career background, with key roles in real estate, finance, economic development and government agencies,” said Lindsay Ornstein, Partner at Transwestern. “This interdisciplinary blend will greatly benefit Transwestern’s nonprofit clients and the communities they serve.”

Prior to joining the firm, Noel was the Assistant Vice President at Community Preservation Corp., a leading affordable housing and community revitalization nonprofit that funds high impact projects in underserved communities. He previously was an analyst for Civic Builders, where he analyzed charter school real estate development funding requests for the Building Equity Initiative, experience that will help bolster Transwestern’s industry-leading charter school services activity.

During a five-year period on the West Coast, Noel was a Development Associate at Lennar Multifamily Communities in Oakland and worked for the city of San Francisco, in the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development and in the Planning Department. He began his career at Goldman Sachs and is a Milken Scholar. Noel earned a bachelor’s degree in government from Harvard University and a master’s degree in real estate development from New York University.

“Transwestern helps nonprofits view strategic business development through the lens of real estate, enabling them to focus on their mission,” said Noel. “I am excited to join this exceptional group and look forward to utilizing my diverse experience to help organizations have a positive impact in communities.”

Transwestern has extensive experience helping nonprofits of all sizes minimize occupancy costs and capitalize on the tremendous savings uniquely available to tax-exempt organizations. The Transwestern Nonprofit Advisory Services Group starts every project from a mission and program perspective and then uses that understanding to build a real estate solution that addresses key considerations for nonprofits, including tax-exempt status, deal structure, space needs, board consensus, and fundraising and financials.

In the past 12 months, the Nonprofit Advisory Services Group has completed 14 leasing transactions and seven sales transactions totaling more than 1.5 million SF.
