CHICAGO – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces it has represented building ownership on a new restaurant lease at 77 W. Wacker Drive, a 51-story, 960,000-square-foot office building in Chicago’s Central Loop submarket. Good Eating Company is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2024 and will occupy 5,000 square feet of retail space on the first floor. Building ownership was represented by Transwestern.
“We’re excited to welcome Good Eating Company, which will provide a new service to our tenants as well as the surrounding area,” said Bertrand. “Thanks to the stability of ownership, the building is now debt-free and can prioritize bringing elevated amenities and upgrades to provide a world-class experience to the tenants. The addition of Good Eating Company is just one example of the exciting things to come.”
Good Eating Company (GEC), a restaurant focused on organic, locally sourced dishes, will offer a café dining experience in the building. It will be open to the public and provide food services to the tenants in the building. Food service options include locally sourced coffee, breakfast, lunch, happy hour, catering, and pop-ups, as well as a mobile coffee/boba cart that can be transported throughout the building and within tenant spaces.
“Good Eating Company prides itself in providing an inspiring food experience that celebrates the community and workforce,” said Leneia Weston, Director of Marketing and Creative for the Good Eating Company. “77 W. Wacker’s dedication to the tenant experience aligns perfectly with our priorities. We look forward to offering a refreshing dining experience to the building.”
77 W. Wacker Drive is leased and managed by Transwestern. 77 W. Wacker Drive is centrally located within Chicago’s Central Loop and just steps from the Riverwalk. The building offers commuters a variety of options with six CTA lines, a 1,100-spot parking garage across the street, and a bike room with a repair station. Tenant amenities include a 12,000-square-foot wellness center with a basketball court, a conferencing center with multiple meeting spaces and a connected outdoor plaza to host events. 77 W. Wacker Drive has several big block availabilities, and a smaller pre-built suite program is in development. The building’s floorplate design is ideal for legal and professional services, offering eight corners.
