TRANSWESTERN ROLE

With over 32 years of experience in the retail shopping center industry, Mark has a unique and insightful perspective on retail development, project leasing and sales. During his career he has been involved in nearly all aspects of retail shopping center development from initial center design, through municipal entitlements, construction, lease-up and disposition. During the past fifteen (15) years, prior to joining Transwestern, Mark worked for a national retail development and construction firm and was responsible for directing all retail sales and leasing efforts for over three million square feet of retail space across 38 shopping centers located in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Nebraska, and Arizona.
 
With his extensive background in shopping center development and leasing, Mark understands the importance of retail merchandise mix. Knowing well the elements required for successful retail locations naturally provides experienced based competency in tenant representation. A vast network of contacts and well versed knowledge of the market has translated to a growing list of retail clients with statewide expansion plans.
 
Mark is an enthusiastic and resourceful broker who understands the retail shopping center business from both Landlord and Tenant’s perspective. With his background and experience in new development and project preconstruction leasing, Mark understands how key decisions during the leasing process can impact his client’s asset value long-term. He is also skilled in understanding the right locations for retailer expansion or market roll-outs to position clients for smart growth, one store location or multiple openings at a time. Mark brings high energy, focus and determination to accomplish the real estate objectives that best serve his clients on individual projects or large portfolios.
